Clean Water - Education - A Helping Hand MDRT FoundationThe Million Dollar Round Table Foundation gives to charitable organizations worldwide, demonstrating the generosity, service and impact of MDRT members. John Benton is proud to be a trustee of this organization as well as a Gold Knight and a member of their inner circle, which represents their most significant donors. In 1956, MDRT President, Arthur F. Priebe, CLU® directed a corporate gift made in his honor to support the larger needs of the community, which led to the creation of the MDRT Foundation in 1959. During the next 10 years, MDRT members pooled their resources together to strengthen this newly founded charitable organization. The combined generosity of individual contributors enables the MDRT Foundation to make the biggest impact on improving the lives of children and families in need.This foundation is the charitable arm of the Million Dollar Round Table, The Premier Association of Financial Professionals. The Foundation is committed to supporting charities that MDRT members care about. David's HouseA Home-Away-From-HomeDavid’s House is the dream of a little boy named David Cyr who passed away at age five after a three-and-a-half-year struggle against acute lymphocytic leukemia. Built so that families can remain together when it is most crucial, David’s House provides a home-away-from-home and support for families with children receiving treatment through the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. The Benton family has had personal experience utilizing this amazing facility during the birth of one of their grandchildren. We know first hand the solace this provides during a time of great emotional stress for many families. Increased by the addition of Uncle Billy’s estate in 1956, today’s Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation funds initiatives that develop the academic, leadership, citizenship, and personal potential of SigEp’s undergraduate members. Thanks to the generosity of alumni, family and friends, the Foundation continues to provide support for scholarships, leadership programming, and safe, competitive undergraduate housing. The Educational Foundation is led by the Foundation Trustees, and the SigEp National Advancement Council supports the work of fundraising.The Foundation funds efforts at the national and chapter level. They support leadership programs that prepare men for roles in college and beyond, scholarships that encourage academic achievement, and housing projects that foster excellence.
